Job Description
A Refurbishment Project Manager to lead and coordinate refurbishment projects across a number of estates in Wakefield. We are looking for someone to manage programme of refurbishment on a full time basis, for a 6 month fixed term contract.
As Project Manager you will ensure the specialist environments remains safe, functional, and inspiring for both attendees and staff. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of refurbishment works, including planning, budgeting, contractor management, and compliance with health and safety and education sector standards.
Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of our client for this exciting and challenging opportunity. This role is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on the planning, implementation, and oversight of a programme of refurbishment and estates change.
* Develop and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget.
* Ensure all works are conducted in compliance with relevant legislation, building regulations, and safeguarding policies.
* Provide regular progress reports to the senior leadership team and stakeholders.
* Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and evaluating quotes.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in premises management, building refurbishment or facilities project management.
* Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and contractor management.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
* High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines.
* Relevant qualifications in construction, facilities management, or project management.
Due to the nature of the buildings, this role may require occasional evening or weekend work, especially during holiday periods when major works are scheduled.
