Are you ready to make a difference in your community while working outdoors? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Refuse Loaders on a temporary basis in Bolton! This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to public services and ensure our neighbourhoods remain clean and green.
📍 Location: Conveniently located just a 14-minute walk from Bolton train station.
### Job Purpose:
As a Refuse Loader, you'll assist in the collection and disposal of household, commercial, and recyclable waste, ensuring we operate in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner. You will work closely with your team to collect waste according to scheduled routes and service standards.
### Key Responsibilities:
Load refuse, recycling, and garden waste into collection vehicles. 🚛
Operate bin lifts and other equipment safely, adhering to training guidelines.
Collect waste from designated locations and ensure it's returned neatly.
Assist the driver in navigating routes and identifying collection points.
Report any issues such as missed collections, damaged bins, or contamination.
Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism. 🌟
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Support the team in completing the daily round efficiently.
Carry out basic vehicle checks and cleaning duties as required.
### Person Specification:
Essential:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Awareness of health and safety practises.
Willingness to follow instructions and procedures.
Desirable:
Previous experience in waste collection
Knowledge of recycling and environmental practises. 🌍
Basic communication skills.
