Job Description
We are currently looking for Refuse Loaders to join our client, Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Your role will include providing an effective and efficient cleansing/waste collection service for the County Borough that includes the removal of waste, detritus and bulky items from pedestrian areas, grass verges, parks, roads, pavements, wasteland, houses and public properties. It can also include street washing, undertaking yardman duties, working on Household Waste Recycling Centres, etc.
Requirements:
* Required to work a 37 hour week covering any duties allocated by the Supervisor, primarily on-site at any location across the county borough.
* An example of the working pattern is Monday to Friday (start and finish times as detailed by the Supervisor). Requirement to work Saturdays and/or Sundays either as part of the normal 37-hour week (or as overtime if you have already worked your full 37 hours) as directed by the Supervisor.
* Requirement to work Bank Holidays or alternative shift patterns at the direction of the Supervisor.
* Basic awareness of cleansing/waste management issues.
