Job Description
Role Purpose
To provide technical support to the Pre-construction and Operations teams to produce technical tender detail and be responsible for the development, review, control and management of day-to-day Engineering Services. The role will include responsibility of design activities, ensuring close liaison with all stakeholders during the pre-construction, bid management/ tenders, construction & commissioning phases of a project.Responsibilities
Production of technical answers for Engineering Services tender proposals
Design Gap filling & Production of Contractors Proposals
Designer Appointments
Review tender documentation
Value Engineering Reviews
Integral part of the bid process where required
Attending Meetings
Planning / Programming
Buildability Reviews
Identify Risks / Management
Integration of Supply Chain
Design Scope Setting
Requirements
Experience of working for an MEP Engineering company both preconstruction and delivery is desirable.
Experience writing technical answers for MEP bids
Have a knowledge and good understanding of Designer Appointments using BSRIA BG6
Recognised Building Industry Accreditation & have a good knowledge of Industry Legislation
IT skills to an advanced level, including BIM experience and associated design packages
Strong MEP technical design solutions & engineering background, with experience of customer management
Well-developed design management, bid, commercial and project management skills
Good understanding and knowledge of design / quality systems and environmental procedures.
Keen sense of opportunity and the ability to accurately assess ‘Added-Value’ for the customer over Risk.
Professional, flexible approach to work, clients and colleagues
Well-developed technical solution led communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well under pressure / multi-task / effective at managing own time & establishing prioritiesBefore You Apply
