Job Description
Regional Engineer – Fleet Engineering (Transport Division)
Salary: £60,000–£70,000 + 10% Bonus + Company Car + Private Medical
Location: Commutable distance of either Brinsworth, Thame, Wolverhampton, St Helens or Middlesbrough.
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid
Overview: Responsible for technical builds and overseeing garage networks

Are you a strategic and collaborative engineering professional looking to make a real impact within a national fleet operation? We are proud to be supporting a market-leading organisation in their search for a Regional Engineer to join their Fleet Engineering team, helping to shape the future of sustainable and safe gas transportation across the UK and Ireland.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied and dynamic role, combining hands-on technical responsibility with leadership, supplier engagement, and strategic development. You’ll play a vital role in driving engineering standards, improving vehicle availability, and supporting innovation in cryogenic and compressed gas transport.
What you’ll be doing:
Overseeing new vehicle builds, refurbishments, and system specifications for Bulk, Cryospeed and Special Gases vehicles – including hydrogen and helium
Acting as the Primary Technical Authority for Bulk and Cryospeed vehicles and Secondary Technical Authority for PGP
Supporting and developing in-house workshops and supplier base
Delivering in-house training and ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards
Building strong working relationships with suppliers, external bodies (e.g. DVSA), and internal teams including QA, Procurement and Mechanical EngineeringWhat we’re looking for:
Extensive experience in LGV Engineering and Maintenance
Understanding of ADR regulations and hazardous goods transport
Technical knowledge of road tanker and compressed gas trailer systems
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Commercial awareness and a collaborative approach
A technical qualification (e.g. C&G Technician’s Certificate)
ADR Licence (Class 2, tanks & packages) essential
