Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste company to recruit a Reliability Engineer for its site in Allerton, North Yorkshire.
The Reliability Engineer role comes with a starting salary range of £60,000 - £70,000 + car allowance of £493 per month and other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Reliability Engineer role
Reporting to the Account Director, you will:
Investigate recurring failures and prevent breakdowns using reliability tools such as RCM, FMEA, and RCA.
Collaborate across teams to enhance preventative maintenance and condition monitoring.
Support engineering compliance and deliver asset lifecycle improvements.
Contribute technical insight to capital projects and investment cases.
Work closely with operational, maintenance, and engineering teams across the Thalia group to ensure assets operate efficiently and reliably.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status (IMechE, IET, or similar).
Proven experience in reliability or maintenance engineering within asset-heavy sectors such as waste, energy, manufacturing, or utilities.
Hands-on use of CMMS systems and engineering analytics to support data-driven decision-making.

The Reliability Engineer role would suit someone who is:

Proactive and collaborative, with strong communication and influencing skills.

Starting salary range of £60,000 - £70,000 dependant on experience.
