Religious Education Teacher About the School Teach Now is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in St Albans, Hertfordshire, to recruit an outstanding Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2025. The Role As a Religious Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons to students across Key Stages 3–5. The ideal candidate will be passionate about exploring philosophical, ethical, and cultural issues with young minds and creating a safe, respectful environment for discussion and reflection. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver creative and engaging RE lessons across KS3–KS5 • Support the development of critical thinking, empathy, and ethical reasoning in students • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning • Use a range of assessment techniques to track student progress and provide feedback • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to wider school life Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Experience teaching RE at secondary level (KS3–KS5) • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for religious and philosophical education • Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills • A commitment to inclusive education and student development Why Work via Teach Now?
