The Role
The RE Teacher (TiC of Ethics and Philosophy) will:
* Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3-5, with a specific focus on leading the Ethics and Philosophy curriculum.
* Develop and refine schemes of work for Ethics and Philosophy, ensuring breadth, depth, and relevance.
* Promote extracurricular activities such as debate clubs or philosophical societies.
* Support colleagues in integrating ethical and philosophical inquiry into their teaching.
* Monitor student progress and engagement in these critical areas.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a qualified RE Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who:
* Possesses a deep understanding of religious studies, ethical theories, and philosophical concepts.
* Has a proven ability to lead and develop curriculum within a Humanities or RE department.
* Is an exceptional facilitator of discussion, able to handle sensitive topics with maturity and insight.
* Is highly organised, proactive, and committed to fostering intellectual curiosity.
