Head of RE
Location: Hounslow
A stimulating opportunity has arisen for a thoughtful Head of Religious Education (RE) to lead a vibrant department at a diverse secondary school in Hounslow. This leadership role requires a strategic vision to enhance curriculum provision, inspire high-quality teaching, and foster critical thinking and empathetic understanding of diverse worldviews.
The Role
The Head of RE will:
* Provide strategic leadership and operational management for the RE department.
* Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and teaching and learning across KS3-5.
* Lead, mentor, and support a team of dedicated RE teachers.
* Promote interfaith dialogue, ethical discussion, and a nuanced understanding of beliefs.
* Manage resources and contribute to whole-school academic strategy.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an exceptional RE teacher with QTS/QTLS and proven leadership experience who:
* Possesses a strong academic background in RE and a passion for the broader subject area.
