Religious Education (RE) Teacher – Bournemouth
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Long-Term until December 2025 (with a view to becoming permanent)
Pay: £160 - £240 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm | Full-Time

Position Overview:
Supply Desk is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school near central Bournemouth to recruit a passionate and committed Religious Education (RE) Teacher. The successful candidate will begin in September 2025 on a long-term basis through December 2025, with strong potential for the role to become permanent for the right individual.
You will be teaching RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely with a collaborative and supportive Humanities department. This is a great opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators, and the school is also open to considering unqualified teachers or non-specialists with relevant secondary RE teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive RE lessons that promote respect and understanding of different beliefs and cultures.
Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
Foster a positive learning environment and maintain high standards of classroom behaviour.
Engage with school life and participate in relevant extracurricular activities.

What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Religious Studies or a related subject (essential).
QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (preferred).
Experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
A genuine passion for Religious Education and student development.
