Religious Education Teacher Location: Maidstone Salary: £120 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Part-time (3 Days a Week), Long-term Are you a passionate Religious Education Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity that allows you to inspire students while maintaining a healthy work-life balance? GSL Education Kent are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Maidstone starting September 2025. This is a part-time role, ideal for a skilled educator looking to make a meaningful impact across three days a week. As a Religious Education Teacher, you will encourage students to explore philosophical, ethical, and religious issues, helping them develop critical thinking skills and an appreciation for diverse beliefs and cultures. You’ll be working within a well-established Humanities department committed to delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons. As a Religious Education Teacher, your role will include: Planning and delivering engaging RE lessons aligned with the national curriculum Supporting student development through effective assessment and feedback Encouraging respectful dialogue and thoughtful reflection among students Contributing to the development of schemes of work and resources Promoting inclusion and understanding across different faiths and worldviews Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement To be considered for the RE Teacher role, you must: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent Have experience teaching Religious Education in UK secondary schools Demonstrate strong classroom management and lesson planning skills Be committed to inclusive education and student progress Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one What GSL Education Offers: Competitive daily rates of pay (£120–£250 depending on experience) Flexible part-time working (Monday to Wednesday) Long-term placement with potential for future opportunities Dedicated consultant support throughout the recruitment process Access to ongoing CPD and professional development At GSL Education, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is a priority.
