Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic RE/RS Teacher, this role is to teach Religious Education/Religious Studies to key stage 3 and key stage 4. This role is full time and is to cover a staff absence and is due to start in January. This is a fantastic opportunity for either a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator looking to make a meaningful impact on students' spiritual, moral, and cultural development.

What we’re looking for:

  * A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Religious Education/Religious Studies.

  * A strong understanding of the RE/RS curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  * The ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  * A commitment to encouraging open-minded, respectful dialogue about worldviews and beliefs

  * A collaborative team player who is keen to contribute to wider school life

Your role and responsibilities will include:

  * The delivery of KS3 and KS4 RE/RS curriculum

  * Giving constructive and guided feedback to students both written and verbally

  * Summative and formative assessment, guide progress through marking and feedback

  * Attending departmental meetings

  * Planning, delivering and marking lessons

We are looking for the following qualities in applicants:

  * Possess excellent curriculum and subject knowledge

  * Maintain exceptional classroom practice

  * Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues

  * Successful candidates should hold QTS

  * Right to work in the UK
