Job Description

Renewable Power Manager Location: Bedford Reports to: Depot Manager / Head of Renewable Power Salary: £50k per annum + Benefits We are seeking an experienced Renewable Power Manager to oversee the daily operations of a growing renewables division. This role focuses on ensuring product availability, safety compliance, operational efficiency, and the successful delivery of renewable energy solutions to clients. The role will involve managing the sales pipeline of renewable products, whilst meeting hire requirements, and compiling to all Health & Safety, and principles and procedures in the renewables division of the depot. Key Responsibilities * Conduct daily reviews of the sales pipeline to ensure renewable products are available to meet hire requirements. * Inspect all renewable products prior to hire to ensure they meet safety, quality, and presentation standards, with all necessary accessories included. * Ensure all service check sheets are completed and properly maintained. * Support the renewables team as needed to meet service standards and hire commitments. * Manage inspection and processing of returned products, recording any damages and ensuring appropriate customer charges are applied. * Oversee completion and filing of delivery, collection, and exchange paperwork, including asset e-code tracking. * Raise requisitions for consumables, repair parts, and outsourced refurbishment as required. * Brief delivery drivers on correct deployment and setup of renewable products. * Ensure renewable products are stored and maintained in line with manufacturer guidelines. * Check new assets before adding them to fleet records and maintain inspection documentation. * Oversee depot site condition, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper asset storage. * Ensure all staff within the division are fully trained, competent, and operating safely and effectively. * Conduct, record, and act upon regular 1-to-1 meetings with team members. * Identify training needs and arrange approved development through the Learning & Development team. * Issue and manage NCRs to address procedural breaches, including follow-up training or toolbox talks. * Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety directives, PPE requirements, and environmental procedures. * Conduct vehicle checks, report defects, and drive safely and courteously at all times. * Report all accidents or incidents through the proper reporting channels. * Uphold the organisation’s values and promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability Essential Experience & Skills: * 2–3 years’ experience in depot supervision, logistics, or equipment hire operations in renewables. * Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance discipline. * Proven ability to combine technical skills (such as inventory or asset management) with strong leadership and communication skills. * Strong organisational and multitasking ability. * Proven leadership and team management experience. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels. * Health & Safety awareness and experience in risk assessment. * Comprehensive understanding of depot safety protocols and regulations
