Renewable Service Engineer / Service Engineer (Air Source Heat Pumps)
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Renewable Service Engineer to join a leading UK provider of compliance, energy and renewable services on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in delivering low-carbon heating solutions across residential and commercial properties, supporting the UK's transition to sustainable energy. Working within a growing renewable energy division, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems and associated renewable technologies.
You will work closely with housing associations, local authorities and residential customers, ensuring renewable heating systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems and renewable heating technologies.
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise customer downtime.
* Conduct system inspections, performance assessments and technical audits.
* Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and overall system performance.
* Provide customers with technical guidance on the operation and maintenance of renewable heating systems.
* Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
* Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the renewable services team.
* Collaborate with colleagues and management to deliver exceptional customer service and operational standards.

* NICEIC Air Source Heat Pumps Qualification
* NICEIC Water Regulations Qualification
* NICEIC Unvented Hot Water (G3) Qualification
* NICEIC Energy Efficiency Qualification
* Full UK Driving Licence
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience servicing and repairing Air Source Heat Pump systems.
* Strong technical knowledge of renewable heating technologies.
* Good understanding of energy efficiency principles and low-carbon heating solutions.
* Knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work independently and effectively manage workloads.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Professional and customer-focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and tenants.
Desirable Experience
* Solar PV experience.
* Solar Thermal experience.
* Previous experience working within social housing environments.
