Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Renewables Supervisor to join their expanding team.
The Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and technically experienced Renewables Supervisor to lead the delivery of renewable energy projects across their operational region.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership with operational management, ensuring renewable installations and maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will provide day-to-day support to field teams, oversee performance, resolve technical challenges and act as the key link between engineers, office teams and clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or senior engineer looking to progress within the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day leadership and support to field-based engineers across your allocated region.
* Act as the primary point of contact for engineers, providing technical guidance and operational support.
* Manage customer complaints and escalations, investigating issues and presenting effective resolutions.
* Review technical referrals and determine survey or remedial work requirements.
* Provide expert technical advice to resolve installation and maintenance issues while maintaining system performance and quality standards.
* Prepare quotations for additional works using Schedule of Rates (SOR) or pricing calculators, ensuring commercial targets are achieved.
* Monitor repair and maintenance work, ensuring jobs progress within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
* Manage installation and servicing pipelines, forecasting workload and ensuring sufficient resource capacity.
* Review installer reports and identify any outstanding remedial or additional works.
* Analyse quality assurance reports, identifying trends and implementing improvements where required.
* Produce operational and financial reports, including installation volumes and client performance metrics.
* Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on quotations, appointments and project progress.
* Monitor departmental KPIs and performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Line manage both field-based engineers and administrative staff, supporting performance, development and productivity.
* Promote a strong health, safety and quality culture across all operational activities.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Valid Domestic Gas qualifications including:
* CCN1
* CENWAT
* HTR1
* CKR1
* Part L qualification.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Previous experience managing or supervising engineering teams.
* Strong technical understanding of renewable energy systems.
* Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
* Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
