Job Description
BDS Recruitment are working with a social provider in Crawley who are looking for a rent arrrears officer
Hours: 37
Location: Crawley (hybrid pattern)
Contract: Temporary ongoing in the first instance
Pay: Circa 24.50 per hour umbrella
Duties:
• Rent account monitoring
• Liaison with Housing Benefit, DWP and the Jobcentre
• Provision of income maximisation and money advice, debt counselling and referral to specialist agencies where appropriate
• Home visits and telephone contact
• In exceptional cases the use of recovery action through courts
. To set up all new rent accounts to meet the purpose of helping tenants to pay their rent.
• Liaison with Housing Benefit, Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Jobcentre
• Agreeing payment method and appropriate payment date
• Setting up rent accounts
Criteria:
Income collection experience - primary role will be to collect rent arrears
