We are looking for a Requirements Manager to play a pivotal role in a major infrastructure delivery team. This is a contract-based position located in the Glasgow area, supporting a secure, and high-impact infrastructure programme.
This role requires flexibility in working arrangements—while remote working is supported, you must be prepared for varying on-site requirements. For example, some weeks may involve being on site full-time, while others may require minimal presence. The nature of the project means that your availability must align with stakeholder needs and the demands of the role.
You will take the lead in capturing, analysing, and managing user requirements—ensuring that stakeholder needs are not only clearly understood but effectively embedded into the programme’s delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Support requirement activities across key programme priorities
Coordinate requirement working groups and facilitate effective stakeholder engagement
Capture and analyse requirements to ensure clarity, feasibility, and completeness
Collaborate with design engineers, architects, and subject matter experts to develop comprehensive requirement sets
As a Requirements Manager, you'll play a crucial role in identifying, documenting, and aligning stakeholder expectations
Requirements Management
Develop and maintain the User Requirements Document (URD) and associated databases
Track requirement changes and ensure robust version control
Provide traceability of requirements through the project lifecycle
Facilitate resolution of conflicting needs to align with strategic objectives
Ensure full alignment with statutory, regulatory, and internal policy
As a Requirements Manager, you’ll act as the central control point for requirement integrity and governance
Collaboration & Communication
Drive open communication between internal teams and external stakeholders
Present requirements in a clear, structured manner suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences
As a Requirements Manager, your ability to translate complex inputs into actionable documentation is key to project success
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Requirements Manager within infrastructure project delivery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with recognised industry standards in requirements and project management
Desirable Skills & Experience
Understanding of safety, security, and environmental protection processes
