Are you a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in Dell PowerEdge servers, NVIDIA GPU deployment, and high-performance computing?
We’re looking for a Resident Engineer to support a major HPC customer, starting with a fully expensed on-site engagement in Norway before moving to remote work across the EU or UK.
🔧 Role Responsibilities
*
Act as the on-site technical expert for Dell PowerEdge environments.
*
Deploy, configure, and support NVIDIA GPUs (A100, H100, etc.).
*
Support hardware installation, upgrades, and lifecycle management in HPC clusters.
*
Optimise compute node performance and troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
*
Perform diagnostics, firmware updates, and component replacements.
*
Work closely with customer infrastructure teams to ensure uptime and reliability.
*
Provide best-practice guidance for HPC workloads and GPU-accelerated systems.
🧠 Required Experience
*
Must be a UK/EU Citizen
*
Proven hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge platforms (R-Series, BIOS, firmware, diagnostics).
*
Strong experience deploying and supporting NVIDIA GPU technologies in production environments.
*
Background working with HPC clusters or high-density compute environments.
*
Solid Linux skills (RHEL/Ubuntu) for troubleshooting and system checks.
*
Ability to work independently in mission-critical environments.
*
Happy to be on-site for the initial engagement and then transition to remote.
⭐ Desirable Skills
*
Experience with HPC schedulers (e.g., Slurm).
*
Knowledge of InfiniBand or other high-performance interconnects.
*
Data centre operations, thermal management, or liquid cooling experience.
*
Relevant certifications (Dell, NVIDIA, Linux)Before You Apply
