Fuel Recruitment is working with a leading telecommunications organisation that’s looking to add a skilled Residential Fibre Engineer to its field engineering team in Guernsey. This role suits an engineer with a solid grounding in copper networks and a good understanding of fibre installations and fault resolution. You’ll play a key part in delivering reliable, high‑quality connectivity to residential customers while maintaining strong service and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  * Install and support residential fibre broadband services

  * Diagnose and resolve faults across fibre and legacy copper networks

  * Carry out router installation and configuration in customer homes

  * Provide basic Wi‑Fi optimisation to improve in‑home performance

  * Deliver a professional, customer‑focused service on every visit

  * Work independently across residential environments, following safety procedures

Key Skills / Experience

  * Experience as a Residential Fibre Engineer or similar field‑based role

  * Background working on copper access networks

  * Understanding of fibre installations and fault‑finding techniques

  * Practical knowledge of home networking and routers

  * Experience configuring customer‑premises equipment

  * Basic Wi‑Fi optimisation and troubleshooting skills

  * Strong customer service and communication skills

  * Safety‑conscious approach to on‑site work

Van & Tools will be provided - accomodation, food etc would be covered by the employee
