Summary
Support the day-to-day running of a children’s home providing care for young people aged 8–17. This role involves basic duties such as assisting with routines, supervising activities, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Support children with daily routines, including meals, bedtimes, and personal care.
Supervise and engage in various activities with the children.
Promote and maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment.
Follow instructions from permanent staff to ensure consistency in care.
Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
Person Specification
Experience working with children or young people is preferred.
Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Possession of a DBS and relevant safeguarding training.
Ability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
