Job Description
Staff for Education are proud to be working in partnership with several residential homes in Mansfield and we are currently recruiting for a dedicated Residential Childcare Worker to work at this home, with children and/or young people between the ages of 5 – 18. The role is to start in September on a full time, long-term basis that will be ongoing. Additional pay will be added for any sleep in shifts required.
This is a great opportunity to work within various residential homes that have fantastic facilities and a strong, supportive team of staff. You will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect or other complex needs. Your role will involve building trusting relationships, providing daily care, and helping them develop the skills they need to thrive.
Main responsibilities include:
• Support children with day-to-day routines, activities and education.
• Build positive relationships and act as a role model.
• Encourage Independence, self-esteem and emotional resilience.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care plans.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment at all times.
To be successful for the role, you will:
• Experience in residential, youth work or education settings.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including sleep-ins.
• Have a level 3 in Residential Childcare or the willingness to work towards it.

In order to be considered for the position, you must have experience with children or young people. You must also hold a DBS Certificate on the Online Update Service or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS.
