Job Description

Children's Residential Support Worker Location: Enfield Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Bank Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people? We are looking for dedicated, nurturing and resilient Residential Support Workers to join our team in a warm, stable and child-centred home. About the Role: As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing emotional, social and practical support to children and young people aged 5- 18 who may present with challenging behaviours or have experienced trauma. You'll be part of a committed team working to create a safe, supportive and structured environment where every child can grow and thrive. What You'll Be Doing: Providing daily care, guidance and positive role-modelling Supporting children with routines, education, personal development and life skills Building strong, trusting relationships with young people Managing challenging behaviours in a calm, consistent and therapeutic way Ensuring the home remains a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment Keeping clear records and following safeguarding procedures Working collaboratively with colleagues, social workers and external professionals What We're Looking For: Experience working with children or young people (residential, SEN, youth work, education or similar) A compassionate, patient and resilient approach Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage challenging situations Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping young people Flexibility Desirable (but not essential): NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent Team Teach / MAPA / PBM training Full UK driving licence If you're ready to join a team that puts children at the heart of everything, we'd love to hear from you.
