Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated Registered Manager to lead our 3-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children's home based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to delivering high-quality care, with a child-centred approach that promotes positive outcomes.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, providing leadership to the care team, and maintaining high standards of safeguarding and therapeutic care.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children with EBD.

Lead, support and manage a team of residential support workers, ensuring consistent and therapeutic care practices.
*
Ensure the home meets all regulatory and quality standards, including compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
*
Develop and maintain individualised care plans and risk assessments in line with each child’s needs.
*
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability within the team.
*
Manage budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently to ensure a financially sustainable service.
*
Build strong relationships with external professionals, local authorities, and families.
*
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.
Requirements:
*
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent – essential).
*
Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing or deputising in a children's residential setting.
*
Strong understanding of EBD, attachment, trauma-informed care, and safeguarding practices.
*
Proven experience in achieving or maintaining ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
*
Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
