Deputy Manager – Residential Care Home – Up to £35,000 (Negotiable)
Location: Liverpool
Service Type: 50-Bedded Residential Care Home
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-Time | Permanent
Are you an experienced care professional looking to step up into a leadership role? Amber Mace is proud to be recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a well-established, 50-bedded residential care home. This home is dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centred care for older adults in a warm and supportive environment.
We’re seeking a proactive and confident leader who can support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service, staff management, and ensuring compliance with CQC standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with residential care home experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Home Manager with the overall management of the home
Lead by example and ensure high-quality care is consistently delivered
Supervise and mentor care staff, including conducting supervisions and appraisals
Assist with staff rotas, recruitment, and training
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and CQC standards
Promote a positive, person-centred culture within the home
Liaise with families, professionals, and external stakeholders
Step in as Acting Manager in the Home Manager’s absence
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a residential care home is essential
Experience in a Senior or Team Leader position within adult social care
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (working towards Level 5 desirable)
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
A compassionate and professional approach to care
