Job Description
A respected and forward-thinking law firm based in Wimbledon is currently looking to recruit a Residential Property Solicitor to join their established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified legal professional with solid residential conveyancing experience to handle a varied and engaging caseload within a collaborative and client-focused environment.
The successful Residential Property Solicitor will be responsible for advising clients on a wide range of property transactions including purchases, sales, re-mortgages and transfers of equity. You will be working with a high level of autonomy and managing your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion, making this an ideal role for a driven and motivated individual. The firm values long-term client relationships, and this role provides the chance to work closely with key referrers and contribute to ongoing business development.
The Residential Property Solicitor's role
Handling all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity
Advising clients on ID requirements, source of funds, gifted deposits and conducting risk assessments
Issuing contracts and reviewing documentation such as titles, leases, management packs and mortgage offers
Ordering, reviewing, and reporting on searches
Raising and responding to enquiries
Managing mortgage redemptions and progressing files through to exchange and completion
Liaising with clients and third parties in a confident, professional manner
Developing and maintaining relationships with referrers and clients
The Residential Property Solicitor
The ideal Residential Property Solicitor will:
Be a qualified Solicitor (or Legal Executive with equivalent experience)
Have strong experience managing a full residential property caseload independently
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be confident working under pressure and to deadlines
Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised
Work effectively as part of a team and independently
