Job Description: Residential Children’s Senior Support Worker / Team Leader
Location: Birmingham / Dudley / West Bromwich (In Person)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time - 163 hrs
Salary: £14.25 - £16.00 per hour (Dependent on qualifications and experience) + £70 per sleep-in
Overtime: Paid at time and a quarter above 163 hrs

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker / Team Leader who is confident leading shifts, supporting staff, and building positive, trusting relationships with children. This is a hands-on role where your experience is valued, your voice is heard, and your commitment is recognised.
The Role
* Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home
* Create a safe, warm, and structured environment for young people
* Build strong, trusting relationships with each child
* Support care planning, key work, risk assessments, and placement plans
* Supervise staff and promote high standards of care and safeguarding
* Support education, activities, and independence skills

What You’ll Need
* NVQ Level 3 for children and young people in residential settings (Required)
* Experience in a children’s residential setting (Minimum 2 years essential)
* Senior / Team Leader experience (Desired)
* Full UK driving license (Desired)
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Children’s Homes Regulations
* Flexibility for sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays (Required)
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
* Work authorisation: United Kingdom (Required)
