Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home (NAT)
Location: Handsworth
Salary: £13–£14 per hour + £65 per sleep | Approx. 40 hours per week | 1 on 2 off shift pattern
We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing care provider who are opening a brand-new 6-bed children’s home in Handsworth. The service will support children and young people who have experienced Neglect, Abuse and Trauma (NAT), offering a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment where they can feel secure, rebuild trust, and move forward positively.
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in creating a stable and supportive home environment. You will build meaningful relationships with the children, provide day-to-day care, and support them in developing life skills and achieving their personal goals.

Requirements:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
*
Experience of working with children or young people, ideally those who have experienced neglect, abuse or trauma
*
A resilient and compassionate nature, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
*
Commitment to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for young people
