Residential Support Worker – Children’s Homes (Middlesbrough)
📍 Location: Middlesbrough
🕒 Contract: Initial 2-Month Contract (with possibility of extension)
💼 Hours: Full-Time, flexible shifts (including long days, sleep-ins & waking nights)
About the Role

We’re looking for Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated and growing team.

What You’ll Do
Create and deliver child-centred activities that promote play, creativity, and personal growth.
Contribute to care planning, thinking innovatively to meet individual needs.
Build and maintain therapeutic, trusting relationships with children and young people.
Support children to understand and manage emotions, promoting resilience and wellbeing.
Monitor care and progress, ensuring the best possible outcomes for each child.Our homes operate 365 days a year, and we work flexibly to ensure the children receive the stability and care they deserve.
About You
We’re seeking individuals who are:
✨ Empathetic, resilient, and reliable — you believe in young people’s potential even when they don’t see it themselves.
✨ Able to build meaningful connections and remain calm under pressure.
✨ Willing to learn, grow, and develop within a therapeutic care environment.
You’ll also need to have:
A willingness to work towards or hold a relevant NVQ Level 4 / QCF Diploma in Children & Young People’s Residential Care (or equivalent).
A commitment to completing the HSC 375 Medication qualification (or equivalent).
A full UK driving licence.
The legal right to work in the UK.Training and professional development opportunities will be provided to help you progress in your career.
