Experienced Children's Home Support Workers Locations: Sunderland Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time (rota-based, including weekends and sleep-ins) Include In Autism is an award-winning, autistic-led organisation providing specialist residential care for children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex emotional needs. We are expanding our teams in Sunderland and Durham and are looking for experienced, passionate Children’s Home Support Workers who share our commitment to putting children first. About the Role: You’ll play a key part in supporting children and young people to feel safe, valued, and empowered within a nurturing home environment. Every day is different — from helping with daily routines to supporting emotional wellbeing and encouraging independence. You will: * Provide consistent, high-quality care and emotional support * Follow personalised care and behaviour support plans * Promote positive outcomes and inclusion in everyday life * Work as part of a skilled and supportive team * Keep accurate records and contribute to team discussions Essential Requirements: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential children’s home or similar care setting Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (NVQ Level 3) or a willingness to work towards this qualification Understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and children’s rights Compassionate, resilient, and committed to making a difference Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins What We Offer: A supportive, autistic-led organisation that truly values its team Ongoing training and development opportunities, including qualifications Career progression into senior and management roles A culture built on compassion, inclusion, and empowerment If you’re an experienced Children’s Home Support Worker who believes every child deserves to thrive, we’d love to hear from you
