Resource Base Teacher, KS2 Social, Emotional Mental Health
Full-Time
Tradewind Recruitment are supporting a welcoming and well-resourced mainstream Primary School in Runcorn who are seeking a dedicated Resource Base Teacher to work with a small group of pupils with SEMH needs. This is a full-time role starting January and continuing until July 2026.
This setting is described as not your typical Resource Base - the students are polite, engaging and far from challenging, with behaviour often less demanding than some mainstream classes. You will be joining a strong, supportive team who know the children exceptionally well.
About the Role
Working with 8 KS2 pupils in the Resource Base
Supporting 2 KS1 pupils (1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon)
Delivering group work throughout the day, based on ability
Reduced planning and preparation workload - no heavy homework expectations
Close collaboration with highly experienced TAs who know each student "to a tee"
Creating a calm, nurturing and structured learning environment
Supporting emotional regulation, social development and academic progress

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
