The Opportunity
An assignment has arisen for an experienced Resource Manager to support a key framework related to the nuclear industry. This role would be on site for 20 hours a week working with the client and key stakeholders in ensuring that projects are fully resourced and all strategy around this is improved and developed.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
To develop and deliver the Resource Management Plan that ensures Client resourcing needs are proactively identified, understood, and satisfied and that resource management performance metrics are continuously improved upon.
You will act as a trusted advisor to by understanding demand requirements and the wider needs of the client, to facilitate effective resourcing decisions
Support and, where possible, lead development and implementation of Resource Management Model (inc. processes, systems, tools, & reports)
Lead and / or support Organisation resource management initiatives as appropriate (e.g. DSA career paths, graduates / apprenticeships schemes etc)
Liaise collaboratively with partners and demanders on resourcing matters as appropriate.
Chair resource management forums as appropriate (e.g. partner resource management group)
Represent on resource management matters
Identify succession and / or redeployment opportunities to retain tacit knowledge within the organisation
Responsibility for the end-to-end resourcing process in , encapsulating new starts, movers and leavers
Lead on the initiatives and interventions required to bring about a continuous improvement to Organisation Resource Management Performance Metrics
Ongoing data analysis and reporting of forecast capacity, utilisation and resource availability
Be the first point of contact for demanders to analyse and refine requests, resolve blockers, risk and issues
Establish and maintain regular resource and demand sessions with leads for assigned portfolio to provide updates on workload allocation, deployment opportunities, highlighting under/over utilisation and availability
Deployment of resources to tasks balancing projects and individual needs - optimising work allocation to alleviate high/low utilisation, increase mobility and agility and meet individual preferences and development goals
