Responsible Individual – Children’s Services
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Hours: Part-Time (2–3 Days per Week)
Are you an experienced leader in children’s residential care with a passion for driving high standards and delivering positive outcomes? Our client is seeking a Responsible Individual to oversee two well-established children’s services in Burton-on-Trent:
* One supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
* The other supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide oversight and strategic leadership to the Registered Managers
* Ensure services remain compliant with Ofsted standards and relevant legislation
* Promote best practices in care, safeguarding, and leadership
* Support continuous improvement and service development
* Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities and regulators
Requirements:
* Experience in a senior leadership role within children's residential care
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Commitment to improving the lives and outcomes of children and young people
