Job Description
My client is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and committed Responsible Individual/ Operations Director to join their established team , where they provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people in care.
About the Role:
As the Responsible Individual (RI), you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance within the home. You will work closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership to ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and all relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Oversee the management and development of the children’s home.
*
Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and actively support the home in achieving and maintaining a “Good” or “Outstanding” rating.
*
Monitor the quality of care, safeguarding practices, staff training, and development.
*
Provide strategic input and guidance to the Registered Manager and care team.
*
Act as a point of contact for external agencies, including Ofsted, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Previous experience in a senior role within children’s residential care.
*
Sound knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
*
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
*
A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
*
Eligibility to hold the position of Responsible Individual under Ofsted guidelines.
Qualifications:
*
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work toward it).
*
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
*
Full UK driving licence preferred.
