About the Role:
We are currently working with a well-regarded housing provider based on the South East Coast who are seeking an experienced Interim Responsive Repairs Surveyor to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an urgent requirement, and interviews will be taking place imminently.
As a Responsive Repairs Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality surveying services across a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring responsive repair works are carried out efficiently, to a high standard, and in line with housing regulations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake property inspections and diagnose building defects related to responsive repairs.
Specify and manage repair works, ensuring contractors deliver within time, budget, and quality targets.
Act as a key point of contact for tenants, contractors, and internal teams on repair-related matters.
Ensure compliance with housing standards, health and safety regulations, and internal policies.
Work collaboratively with the wider property and asset teams to improve service delivery.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, actions taken, and outcomes.
Requirements:
Proven experience working within housing associations or local authorities in a similar surveying or responsive repairs role.
Strong technical background in building surveying, particularly in domestic/residential properties.
Excellent knowledge of housing regulations, standards, and compliance.
Effective communicator with a customer-facing approach and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks, and deliver under pressure.
Additional Details:
Location: Hybrid working - minimum 3 days per week on-site
Day Rate: Competitive / Negotiable depending on experience
Contract Length: Interim assignment (details to be discussed)
