Retrofit Technical Solutions Advisor
Location: Welwyn Hatfield
Salary: £35-£55k
The Retrofit Technical Solutions Advisor role provides in-house expertise in Retrofit Coordination, supporting the delivery of live projects to full PAS2035 compliance. The position plays a key part in ensuring quality, technical assurance, and the effective integration of retrofit measures into housing projects, while keeping pace with industry developments, funding opportunities, and sustainability best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Retrofit Coordination activities on live projects, ensuring compliance with PAS2035 frameworks and technical standards.
Undertake Retrofit Assessments, assessing property suitability and identifying improvement opportunities.
Carry out quality assurance checks across assessments, coordination, and design outputs.
Maintain robust project data, audit trails, and documentation to support compliance and reporting.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to embed retrofit solutions into delivery plans.
Identify and resolve technical challenges, providing practical and compliant solutions.
Contribute to project reviews, offering input on risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Support the development of internal processes, guides, and training materials.
Monitor sector policy, funding streams, and technological developments to inform retrofit delivery.
Conduct pre- and post-retrofit evaluations to measure the effectiveness of installed measures.
Liaise with external auditors and regulators to maintain full compliance.
Provide technical input to procurement processes, ensuring sustainable and compliant material and contractor selection.
What we're looking for
Retrofit Assessor Qualification with experience delivering live projects.
Retrofit Coordinator Qualification (or working towards it).
Strong understanding of PAS2035 requirements, building regulations, and retrofit best practice.
Experience in retrofit coordination, assessment, or energy efficiency programmes.
Skilled in analysing technical data, producing compliance reports, and evaluating retrofit solutions.
Strong organisational capability with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Effective communicator with proven ability to collaborate across internal teams and external contractors.
Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across multiple sites.
