RF & Communications Engineer – Defence Systems – SC Cleared
SR2 is supporting advanced R&D and systems delivery within the UK Defence sector.
We’re looking for skilled RF and Communications Engineers to design, integrate, and optimise cutting-edge systems supporting operations across Land, Sea, Air, and Space domains.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop RF systems across VHF to millimetre wave bands.
Implement digital signal processing solutions using MATLAB, C/C++, or Python.
Work on waveform design, testing, and performance analysis.
Support secure communication architectures (Radio, Tactical Data Links, Satellite).
Contribute to system integration and validation activities.Experience Required:
Background in Defence, MOD, or secure communications environments.
Hands-on experience with RF hardware, DSP, or embedded systems (FPGA desirable).
Understanding of secure communications, encryption, and accreditation standards.
Familiarity with systems engineering principles and testing processes.
