First Achieve's Engineering Division is proud to be working with a leading and forward-thinking geotechnical contractor, now seeking to add a Rig Mechanic / Plant Fitter to their growing team.
🔧 The Role
Based out of the Hamilton workshop, you'll play a key role in maintaining and servicing a fleet of specialist plant machinery, including:
Rotary and sonic drilling rigs
Cable percussion rigs
Tracked support plantThis is a hands-on, varied role that offers plenty of travel across Scotland - perfect for someone who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and working on diverse, complex machinery.
🚗 What You'll Be Doing
Routine maintenance and repairs to a range of drilling and plant equipment
Diagnosing faults on hydraulic and electrical systems
Ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently
Supporting site operations across Scotland (occasional UK travel)🎯 What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (drilling rig experience desirable)
Full UK driving licence
