Interim Right to Buy / Leasehold Officer
Location: North West England (Mostly Remote with Flexible Working Hours)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Hourly Rate: Up to £25 per hour
Are you an experienced housing professional with a strong understanding of Right to Buy and Leasehold processes?
Our client, a reputable local authority in the North West of England, is seeking an Interim Right to Buy / Leasehold Officer to join their team for a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in housing management systems, specifically Northgate, and make a real impact on the processing of Right to Buy applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing Right to Buy Applications: Efficiently manage and process Right to Buy applications from start to finish.
Use of Northgate HMIS System: Manage and update records within the Northgate system. Any prior experience with Northgate or similar housing management systems is advantageous.
Leasehold Management: Oversee and manage leasehold applications and assist with related queries.
Liaising with Applicants & Stakeholders: Provide advice and guidance to applicants, ensuring the smooth progression of applications.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all applications are processed in compliance with relevant regulations and procedures. Maintain accurate records for reporting purposes.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Strong background in council or housing sector roles with direct experience in Right to Buy or Leasehold processing.
Systems Knowledge: Experience with Northgate HMIS system is highly desirable, or experience with similar processing systems.
Attention to Detail: Ability to process applications with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with applicants and internal teams.
Flexible Working: Ability to work remotely with flexible hours, including the possibility of working around school hours to accommodate personal commitments.
