Gleeson has been partnered with a Global Freight business looking for a Road Coordinator. This Opportunity would be best fitted to a professional looking to further grow their career in a well established business.
Job Title: Road Coordinator
Locations: Basildon
Salary : 27-£30,000Duties:
Assist the Road Freight Supervisor in their duties, supporting the Head of Road's goal to improve the company's competitiveness and profitability.
Understand and follow the department's vision for business growth, focusing on efficient Import/Export land freight, warehouse operations, and logistics services.
Manage client and subcontractor relationships according to standard procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing, following SOP guidelines.
Complete all Import/Export tasks correctly and on time, including financial, legal, and invoicing responsibilities.
Oversee operational activities to ensure they are completed on schedule.
Maintain regular communication with sales teams, report new leads, and coordinate shipments.
Send quotations to the line manager or sales team within two hours of receipt and ensure they are documented in a standard format.
Share internal leads with customer service and sales teams.
Work with credit control to follow up on overdue payments.
Skills & Competencies:
Minimum 6 months of experience in a freight forwarding environment (import/export).
