Key Responsibilities:
Analyse collision data to identify trends and risk factors
Implement speed management initiatives to improve road safety
Conduct safety reviews of highway design proposals
Undertake Road Safety Audits in accordance with GG119
Manage road safety schemes and provide expert advice to colleagues and external partners
Review applications for changes to highway operations and speed limits
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external organisations
Promote safe, healthy, and sustainable travel for all road users
Job Requirements:
Experience in road safety engineering, including collision data analysis
Knowledge and appreciation of the Safe Systems approach to road safety
Qualified to undertake Road Safety Audits as per GG119 standards
Strong organisational skills to prioritise workloads effectively
Customer-focused approach to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
Understanding of highway design standards and guidelines for safe solutions
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
