We are currently looking for a Roadside Recovery Assistant to join a large, well-established commercial vehicle company based in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys helping people in need of roadside support.
The Role: As a Roadside Recovery Assistant, you’ll support the recovery and roadside assistance team in responding to vehicle breakdowns. You'll play a vital role in ensuring commercial vehicles are recovered safely and efficiently, with a focus on excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend breakdowns and assist in the recovery of commercial vehicles
Provide basic roadside repairs or arrange onward recovery
Ensure safe working practices and excellent customer service on every job
Support the lead technician with tools, equipment, and on-site assistance
Communicate clearly with the control centre and driversAbout You:
Previous experience working with vehicles (HGV, LCV, or similar)
Good mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills
A proactive, customer-focused attitude
Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations
Full UK driving licence (essential)What’s on Offer:
