Rolling Mill Setter
Location: West Bromwich
Hours: 39 hours per week, rotating 3-week shift pattern (subject to change)
Pay: £13.00 per hour
➡️ £15.86/hr with 22% shift allowance
➡️ £16.25/hr with 25% shift allowance
About the Role
We’re seeking skilled Rolling Mill Setters/Operators to join a busy and growing manufacturing team. You will be responsible for setting, operating, and maintaining rolling mill equipment and associated machinery to produce high-quality components to exact specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically minded individuals with previous rolling or metal processing experience who take pride in their work and thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
Shift Pattern (Rotating Weekly)
Week 1: Mon – Thu, 6:00am – 2:00pm | Fri, 6:00am – 1:00pm
Week 2: Mon – Thu, 2:00pm – 10:00pm | Fri, 1:00pm – 8:00pm
Week 3: Sun – Wed, 10:00pm – 6:00am | Thu, 10:00pm – 5:00am
✅ Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate rolling mills to meet production targets and quality standards
Carry out adjustments and tooling changes to achieve correct product specifications
Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate production records
Monitor machine performance and report issues promptly
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment (in line with 5S principles)
Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and safe operating practices
Support continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
Perform additional duties as directed by your supervisor

Proven experience setting and operating rolling mills or similar heavy manufacturing machinery
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Good attention to detail with a focus on quality output
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work across rotating shifts
