Rolling Stock Technician
Based in Aberdeen
4 Month Contract
£35-40p/h
Night Shift - 4 on 4 off
Ganymede Solutions are working with a leading rail company who are seeking to recruit a Rolling Stock Technician to join their team in Aberdeen, supporting planned, preventative maintenance on fleets in operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role to support the maintenance and operation of modern passenger fleet.

The Role:
As a Rolling Stock Technician, you will be carrying maintenance and repair on an operational passenger fleet. Standard duties will include:
Inspections and exams
Follow technical guidance (VMI, exam timing, etc) ensuring all maintenance and testing is complete, accurate, and on time
Inspection, diagnosis and repair, along with documentation support of rolling stock on depot
Follow VMI, exam timing, etc ensuring all maintenance and testing is complete, accurate, and on time
Complete documentation as required for exams
Support colleagues as needed with servicing, fuelling, cleaning, etc
Requirements:
A Level 3 qualification in any engineering discipline or related trades
A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the rolling stock industry
The ability to follow modification instructions and technical drawings
Experience in conducting Exams and fault find and fix on modern passenger rolling stock systems
Right to Work documentation prepared for pre-employment compliance
A flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic
Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
Be able to pass a full railway medical – this will include, sight, hearing, colourisation, heart, lungs, brain, etc
Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
Happy to help mentality/attitude
