Job Description
Contek Recruitment are looking for an experienced Roofer to join a well-established team within the renewable energy sector. This role involves assisting with the installation of solar panel systems on residential and commercial rooftops, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Install and secure solar PV systems on pitched and flat roofs
* Handle and manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site
* Support electricians and installers during setup and commissioning
* Maintain a tidy and safe working environment
* Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Health & Safety Training
Full training and site inductions will be provided. Candidates are expected to follow strict safety standards, including:
* Safe working at height (use of ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection)
* Manual handling and correct lifting techniques
* Safe use of hand and power tools, and correct PPE use
* Regular toolbox talks and ongoing safety refreshers
Requirements
* Previous roofing or construction experience (preferred)
* Comfortable working at height and outdoors in all weather conditions
* Valid CSCS card (preferred)
* Safety certifications (Working at Height, Manual Handling) beneficial – training can be provided
* Strong work ethic and team-focused attitude
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
