Job Description

We are excited to invite applications for an experienced and passionate Toddler Room Leader to join our warm and welcoming nursery based in Anerley. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Early Years practitioner who is ready to lead a room, inspire a team, and make a meaningful impact on children’s early development.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week across 4.5 days, offering a healthy work–life balance. The successful candidate will be paid £14.40 per hour, reflecting the importance of this leadership position within our setting.

As Toddler Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the toddler room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment at all times. You will lead your team in delivering high-quality, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework, supporting each child’s individual needs, interests, and stages of development. You will also oversee planning, observations, and assessments, ensuring they are completed to a high standard and contribute positively to children’s learning journeys.

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as you will be responsible for guiding, motivating, and supporting your team. You will work closely with the nursery management team, contributing to staff meetings, room development, and maintaining high standards of practice, safeguarding, and wellbeing. Building positive relationships with parents and carers will also be a key part of the role, ensuring open communication and trust.

We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Early Years professional with experience working with toddlers and confidence in leading a room. You should be enthusiastic, organised, and passionate about providing outstanding care and education.
