Rough Sleeper Navigator – Local Authority
📍 Location: South East London
⏳ Contract: [3–6 Month Contract / Ongoing Temporary Role]
💷 Pay: £29.15 p/hr (Umbrella)
🕒 Full-Time | Immediate Start
We are working with a forward-thinking Local Authority seeking a dedicated Rough Sleeper Navigator to join their Housing and Homelessness Team.
This role plays a vital part in engaging with individuals experiencing street homelessness, supporting them to access accommodation, health services, and long-term sustainable outcomes.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
Build trusting relationships with rough sleepers through assertive, outreach-based engagement
Work closely with partner agencies (e.g., health, substance misuse, mental health, housing) to create tailored support plans
Assist individuals in navigating the pathway from rough sleeping into accommodation
Maintain accurate records, case notes, and contribute to data reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Act as a single point of contact, providing continuity and advocacy throughout the client’s journey✅ Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working in homelessness, outreach, or support services
Strong knowledge of housing pathways and support available to rough sleepers
Excellent interpersonal skills with a trauma-informed and person-centred approach
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across services
DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
