Transport / Route Planner – Exciting Opportunity with a Growing Business!
Location: Outskirts of Chelmsford / Wickford – Free On-Site Parking
I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a long-standing, well-respected client who have experienced significant growth over the past year. As a result of this expansion, they are looking for an experienced Transport / Logistics Planner to join their busy and supportive team in their newly refurbished offices.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Transport Planner to join a company that values teamwork and efficiency. You will be working within the Service Operations team, helping to manage the logistics for a fleet of vehicles across multiple depots.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning and scheduling driver routes for pick-ups, drop-offs, and servicing of hired equipment
*
Coordinating services, deliveries, and collections using advanced planning software
*
Liaising closely with customer service teams and depot managers to quickly resolve any scheduling queries
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Previous Transport Planning experience – essential
✔ Experience within the transport or logistics sector – desirable
✔ Strong IT literacy – confident with Word, Excel, and planning software
✔ Must have own transport due to the rural location
