Job Description

Position: Project Administrator  Location: Central London  Pay: £95 - £110 per day  Start Date: January 2026 Smart Teachers is working in partnership with Transport for London (TfL) to recruit a committed and organised Project Administrator to support their high-impact Project Guardian initiative. This role is based at their central London office and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a safeguarding project making a real difference for young people across the capital. About the role: Project Guardian is a TfL-led initiative designed to increase awareness of sexual harassment on public transport among young people. The programme delivers face-to-face sessions in schools (particularly Year 9), training for staff, workshops, and multi-agency partnership work. Its aim is prevention: empowering students, teachers, and transport users to understand their rights, know how to respond, and help create safer, more respectful journeys. The Role:  As the Administrator for Project Guardian, you will provide essential support to the project team and wider partners. Key responsibilities include: Delivering high-quality administrative support across the Project Guardian programme Coordinating training sessions, workshops, and meetings with schools, safeguarding teams, and transport partners Managing calendars, communications, documents, and accurate data entry Maintaining records, tracking attendance, collating feedback, and assisting with reporting for compliance and evaluation Liaising with school staff, TfL representatives, external agencies, and stakeholders involved in safeguarding young people on public transport Requirements: Previous administrative experience (education, public service, or safeguarding settings desirable) Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and online platforms such as Teams A strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting the welfare of young people About Smart Teachers:  Smart Teachers is a market-leading education recruitment agency, matching teachers and support staff with schools across London and the surrounding areas.
