Location: Wigston Police Station
Contract Type: Temporary
Working Pattern: Full Time Monday to Friday 37 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £15.79 per hour
End Date: February 2026

About the Role:
As the Safeguarding Co-ordinator, you will:
Conduct risk assessments to ensure that all reports and referrals concerning at-risk individuals are effectively reviewed and processed.
Collaborate with partner agencies and internal stakeholders to share essential information.
Research and interrogate police systems to compile comprehensive reports.
Attend multi-agency and disclosure meetings, actively contributing to safeguarding discussions.
Provide guidance and advice to Police colleagues on safeguarding matters.Your Key Responsibilities Include:
Compiling safeguarding reports for adults and children.
Attending multi-agency meetings to represent the police effectively.
Researching and processing safeguarding referrals with precision.
Identifying high-risk cases and ensuring appropriate escalation.
Maintaining diaries and planning appointments to support smooth operations.
Essential Skills:
A level of education in English Language or equivalent work experience.
Experience in a confidential environment, with strong analytical and investigative skills.
The ability to compile data accurately and concisely from various sources.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to engage confidently at all levels.
Strong organisational abilities, capable of managing a busy workload and meeting deadlines.Desirable Skills:
Previous experience in multi-agency working or a safeguarding environment.
Understanding of data protection legislation and proficient in Microsoft Office.
