Job Title: Safeguarding Manager - FinOps Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Location: Cambrige (2 days on site) Are you a highly organised and enthusiastic FinOps Safeguarding Manager looking to work with a Cambridge based fintech that are going through an exiting period of growth? This organisation provides modern, regulatory‑compliant payment infrastructure and card‑issuing solutions.  Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing management of Safeguarding Policy Framework across multiple regulated entities. This role involves working closely with teams across the business to shape the regulatory approach, analyse fund flows, and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with safeguarding requirements. You’ll contribute to the design and maintenance of safeguarding policies and collaborate on product innovation and new business initiatives — all while ensuring they meet regulatory obligations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with safeguarding regulations, including identifying breaches and driving remediation and process improvements. Monitor and report on safeguarding arrangements, escalating issues and providing updates and insights to Senior Management as needed. Provide evidence of safeguarding compliance to support both internal and external audits, working closely with the Compliance team, regulators, and audit partners. Lead projects focused on enhancing safeguarding controls and processes in partnership with the treasury team. Develop, maintain, and document policies and procedures to support the wider Safeguarding Policy Framework. Stay informed of regulatory developments, ensuring Monavate’s safeguarding practices remain current and effective. Respond to any safeguarding breaches or concerns, leading investigations and implementing corrective actions. Support strategic initiatives related to global expansion and regulatory change within the treasury function.ABOUT YOU: Proven experience in the fintech or payments industry. Strong understanding of customer asset protection and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. EMIs, PIs, CASS). Familiarity with safeguarding requirements in the Payment Services Regulations (PSRs) and Electronic Money Regulations (EMRs). Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams, audit firms, and regulators. Solid understanding of treasury operations within financial services, including reconciliations, cash management, FX, and associated risks and controls. Experience managing change and implementing new cross-functional processes. Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable driving initiatives forward. Adaptable, forward-thinking, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.DESIRABLE SKILLS: Strong Excel skills, with the ability to work with and analyse large data sets. Experience handling high-volume transactions and complex financial data
